When our world tells us to “forget and move on”, we can get stuck in cycles of numbness that hinder our mental and emotional health. My focus is in helping those who desire to take a step toward freedom by navigating and processing hidden feelings and traumatic experiences that have crippled our ability to live and walk in the light that we deserve.
I have worked with clients from diverse backgrounds and with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and life transitions. Moreover, I specialize in adolescent issues, women’s issues, identity, spiritual journeys, and substance use and addiction.
I employ an integrative approach to therapy, drawing from Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), Adlerian therapy, Person-centered therapy, and Solution-Focused Brief therapy to tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs and goals. Play therapy and Dialectical-behavioral therapy (DBT) are additional therapeutic modalities that I utilize to help clients across the lifespan.
I create a warm and welcoming atmosphere where clients feel heard, valued, and understood; a supportive, and nonjudgmental space for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings, empowering them to make positive changes in their lives, while providing patience as clients endeavor to uncover their past.
