Key Responsibilities of a Clinical Therapist
- Provide individual, group, and/or couples therapy or other wellness offerings using evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
- Diagnose mental health conditions and develop treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, session progress notes, and treatment plans in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
- Stay current with developments in the field of mental health and continuously improve your clinical skills.
- Participate in clinical supervision and team meetings.
Qualifications
- Licensed in the state of Illinois as a Clinical Psychologist, LCPC, LPC, LMFT or LCSW. Pre-licensed and provisionally licensed clinicians (“clinical residents”) are encouraged to apply.
- Interest and comfort in working with BIPOC communities.
- Excellent communication and collaborative interpersonal skills.
- Empathy, compassion, and a strong commitment to client care.
- Solid clinical judgment, strong understanding of various therapeutic modalities, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A minimum of 12 (part time) or 24 (full time) client sessions per week.
- It typically takes 2-4 months to gradually build your ideal caseload.
- Evening and weekend availability preferred.
- Bonus: Opportunity for fully licensed clinicians interested in compensated supervision of provisionally licensed clinicians.
