Navigating through life’s journey is a top priority at Nave Wellness Center. This focus not only applies to the clients we walk alongside but also includes the journey of the helping professional. As a teaching practice, we emphasize the importance of continually educating and training therapists at all levels of development so that clients consistently receive high quality care.
That is why we are delighted to announce the introduction of our new Clinical Apprenticeship, a year-long program designed for aspiring therapists and graduate candidates. All helping professionals have been trainee therapists in the career journey. We remember all too well the challenges a new therapist can face when first entering the field, and we are excited to walk alongside trainees to help them flourish in their career path.
Many degree programs will use other terms for this role – internship, practicum, externships, etc. Our training program at Nave Wellness Center also fulfills the requirements of these roles. We have chosen the term “apprenticeship” to more tangibly describe the hands-on work in which students will participate. Clinical apprentices are trainee therapists (interns, practicum students, etc.) that carry their own caseload of clients and work under close supervision as they develop their therapeutic abilities while meeting clients’ needs.
- Year-long skills development journey.
- A caseload of 10-12 weekly clients.
- Weekly individual supervision.
- Group supervision and case consultations.
- Opportunities to facilitate group therapy and workshops.
- Didactic training modules and professional development opportunities.
- Sufficient direct and indirect hours to meet the requirements of their degree program.
Our office is conveniently located in the south suburbs of Chicago (Frankfort, IL), and hybrid work arrangements can also be accommodated if needed.
